What else do you want us to know?: I am a director at the Islands Institute, which is a volunteer-run online non-profit that aims to foster creative, interdisciplinary approaches to environmental and social problems - and that sponsors this network. Please join us! We have a group on this network.

Other work - I have done public/social/community/ environmental/education/art projects in various media over the years - you can read more at my website - and I need to get that updated someday soon! I have another body of work on the net that explores and maps queer meanings at www.queermap.com.

This one was made on East Hastings when girls where disappearing from each corner where my first textile studio was. It was made to catch the monster. It appeared in the window for a couple of months(53"X9') Later, I wrote a story about Dragons: ancient myths, legends, and religion. Its hot!

I work full time but recently found a sliver of time to make a new 1 minute film - the first piece I've made in a year and a half!!

We're just about to have the worldwide launch of the Walk Unafraid Project - as a do-it-yourself kit that people can purchase and do anywhere!
The website is up. I'm still raising funds to get 500 kits produced. . . Then they'll be ready to ship!

The most exciting though was 3 winners in tri-county and 4 school exhibitions in May; 3rd and 5th graders. Then, there was my recycled Mermaid piece on display at College of Charleston, SC. Looking forward to a fantastic upcoming school year with my students.

The Root Laboratory Project.
I am now into my 2nd year in the Masters of Fine Arts (Sculpture) at Concordia and starting to plan for my return in BC in the summer of 2010. I will be working in a Landart show in Oct in Quebec with apple trees and their Roots. Would you have any suggestions of galleries or places I could submit this work in BC.

I joined with the word "engagement" attracting my attn, as that is a word used in psychotherapist and dialogue. Once here I am excited to fine that it is mor about the "Art" aspect, though perhaps it is all one... "Beauty is truth"
