I found a quote that explains how I feel in a book about Pop Art

The medium is half life and half art, and competes with both life and art. It spoils its audiences for both; spoils both for its audience.

From Where I'm Standing

We are about to re-stage the show 'From Where I'm Standing' a show with the young people's performance group Junction 25 and their parents. This will end the Into Festival as part of New Territories in Glasgow this month.

We are so excited to be in this position of re-visiting this work especially alongside the experience we are having in Barrhead (this show is now 6 weeks away and now 160 performers strong!!).

A call for engagement

And so we ask ourselves:

How far can this project reach?

How might we extend the invitation to you?

How can we create something together - here - on this site?

So far things have been pretty quiet - how many people may it be possible to connect with?

Tomorrow we would like to present a task for anyone who is interested.

we really hope you will engage with us if you are able.

Looking forward to it… Continue

About Glas(s)
We like meeting people, we want to make work from real experience and sometimes, in small ways, change the pattern of a day.

Glas(s) Performance is a creative partnership between Jess Thorpe and Tashi Gore based in Glasgow but that has run projects all over the UK and beyond.

Their work can be located in social contexts with young people and with communities and in non-traditional theatre spaces.

They seek to engage others in a number of artistic practices – in the creation of original material for performance, in telling and re-telling real and imagined stories, in sharing experiences, in process and, where appropriate in the presentation of product.

Hi and welcome to the network. I really enjoyed touring your website - would love to see more documentation of "This Fear" and it seems to connect with a project I am working on re art and education in dangerous times.
