I live on a green hill above the northern town of Matagalpa where I write, translate, do photos, feminist art actions that deal with issues of identity, crossing borders, love, women's lives, protest,... My paid work is connected with social change, women´s community organizations and the women's movement.
hi helen!
My Name is Nina and I'm from the Austrian feminist magazine an.schlaege. We were searching for a picture for an article about Nicaraguan women's organizations and found your page. We are interested in the pictures "manos", "feet 1" and "feet 2". Can we use these pictures in our next edition? That would be really great!
Hope to hear from you soon!
Best wishes,
Nina
Hi Glenn!
Sorry I didn´t answer until now.
Been hectic plus my phone line and internet connections have been down. Xmas passed mostly with writing, a lot and seeing friends. Am organising an event sort of a women's fringe writers event for february called la franja. Check out the pix I posted!! Hugs,
Helen

Thanks for all your positive comments and connections. And yes, anytime any one of you is in this country, please feel free to look me up!
I´m still trying to master these kind of internet spaces so I hope I will be able to participate with no problems in the online conference... I might need some guidence or tips about how to do it...
I LOVE your photo of hands in water... it is exquisite. Your choice of profile photo is lovely too.
I recognize a kindred in your visual sensing, and am so looking forward to getting to know you a bit in sessions at the conference - what parts are you planning to attend?
